To Become a Candidate:
- Be at
least a sophomore, and have declared accounting or finance as a major
(undergraduate students),
or
- Enrolled in the MBA (with an
accounting or finance undergraduate degree) or the MAcc (graduate
students)
- Hold a minimum cumulative GPA
of 3.0 (including transfer credits)
- Complete the chapter
professional and community service hour requirements*
- Download and complete the
membership application and
membership commitment forms
To Become a Member:
- In addition to the candidate
requirements, obtain a minimum major GPA of 3.0 or better.
Candidates usually complete ACCT 3201 or FIN 3350 with a grade
of B or better (for accounting and finance majors respectively),
or

Have completed one semester in the applicable graduate program and
maintain an overall grade point average of 3.0 or member
- Pay the $75.00 initiation fee
To Remain an Active Member:
- Actively participate in
chapter events by attending professional meetings and participating in
community service events*
- Pay the $60.00 annual dues
($30 per semester) by due dates
To Become an
Associate:
1.
Be a freshman and sophomore accounting and finance
majors with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better
2.
Pay a $5 associate due (this will be deducted from
the initiation fee if you become a candidate)
*BAP national allow candidates and members to report
up to 5 non-BAP professional & 5 non-BAP community service hours each
year.
