Mission Statement

The Valdosta-Lowndes County Habitat for Humanity mission is to work in partnership with people in need; to assist and provide hope to individuals and families; to create stable neighborhoods and communities with God's people in Valdosta-Lowndes County; and to eliminate poverty housing in our lifetime.

The Valdosta-Lowndes County Habitat for Humanity Affiliate was founded in 1986 as a local non-profit agency, and has built over 100 homes in the area. We are a 21st Century Challenge Community and have thus committed to eliminating substandard housing in our community by the year 2020. We have enlisted the help of other community organizations and agencies in meeting this goal through active participation in the KeyWE Affordable Housing Coalition.

What is BlazerWeek?

Blazerweek is a week long Habitat for Humanity build sponsored by the Valdosta State Athletic Department and the Student Athletic Advisory Committee at VSU. During the week Valdosta State athletes, ticketholders, booster members, faculty, students, and members of the community will come together to build a home for a family in need.
