VSU Centennial Student Art Competition and Exhibition

As part of its continuing celebration of Valdosta State University’s Centennial (2007-2013), the Centennial Steering Committee is proud to announce the VSU Centennial Art Competition and Exhibition. Through this competition, the steering committee wants to celebrate the artistic presentation of VSU’s community and campus as well as promote and reward artistic achievement by VSU students.

FOCUS OF THE COMPETITION

Artists may choose to focus on any aspect of the campus or community of Valdosta State University, either in the present or historically, including its architecture, campus, events, or people.

TYPES OF ARTWORK ACCEPTED

Entries will be accepted in any of the traditional and contemporary media, including painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, sculpture, digital media, ceramics, and jewelry.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Any Valdosta State University student (undergraduate or graduate, on-campus or off-campus, full or part-time) enrolled during fall semester 2007 is eligible to enter this competition. The submitted artwork must have been completed while the artist was a VSU student and should not have been previously exhibited on the VSU campus. No more than three artworks will be accepted per artist. Any collaborative work must be entered by only one artist.
