PSST!'s MISSION
Peach State Summer Theatre’s Mission is to provide quality theatre to the city of Valdosta, the state of Georgia, the region and beyond. Peach State Summer Theatre is committed to helping make Valdosta and South Georgia a tourist destination. Peach State Summer Theatre is committed to promoting the importance of education to people of all ages and serves as the professional extension of the Valdosta State University Theatre program.

PSST! received a 2012
Arts Education in American Communities grant
from the National Endowment for the Arts.
PSST! worked with the Dewar College of Education in the development of GO, DOG. GO! education modules that were available online to extend the educational and theatrical experience for young audiences during the 2012 season. Copies of the book GO, DOG. GO! were distributed to needy young readers in the area.

In 2008, PSST! partnered with VSU's Dewar College of Education to help young readers improve their reading skills.
To meet its mission, PSST! in 2006 and 2007 partnered with South Georgia Regional Libraries to promote literacy and readings. Below are pictures of some of the young participants meeting the cast of A YEAR WITH FROG AND TOAD after a performance.
