VSU 16" Telescope on Top of Nevins Hall
Astronomy students have access to a 16" Cassegrain reflecting telescope, the largest in South Georgia, equipped with a computer controlled CCD camera, a single channel photo-electric photometer, a spectrograph, filar micrometer. Adjoining the dome are two roof top observation platforms equipped with nearly a dozen smaller telescopes ranging in aperture from 4.25 to 10 inches.
