Auxiliary Fee Usage

Recommend approval for mandatory fee increases or new fees to Mandatory Fee Committee.  Review budget plans, including prioritization of projects proposed for funding through excess revenues and mandatory fees.

Advisory Committee Members:

2 Faculty members  ( 3 – year appointment):
One faculty member to be appointed by Faculty Senate from a College other than COBA
One faculty member to be appointed from COBA

2 Students:
One student to be appointed by SGA
One student to be appointed by RHA

3 Auxiliary department heads:
Director of Housing & Residence Life
Bookstore Director
Rotating annually among the Directors of 1 Card, Parking & Transportation, and Student Health

Pool Processes & Committee Guidelines:

Schedule & Call for Proposals: The committee will meet each fall to review fee increase proposals, the proposed Auxiliary budget for the upcoming fiscal year, and capital improvement plans. Additional meetings will be called as needed

Review of recommendations: The Auxiliary Services Budget Advisory Committee will make recommendations to the Director of Auxiliary Services. Recommendations concerning mandatory fees will then be forwarded to the Student Fee Committee for review through their process.

The committee will be responsible for the following review activities:
1. Review and recommend mandatory fee increase proposals prior to their submission to the Student Fee Committee
2. Review and make recommendations on Auxiliary budget plans
3. Review and make recommendations regarding the capital improvement plan for Auxiliary Capital expenditures
