fye service-learning

Service-Learning – FYE students participate in service-learning projects which integrate community service with academic instruction that focuses on critical thinking, reflective thinking and civic responsibility.  Service-learning programs involve students in organized community service that addresses local needs, while developing their academic skills, sense of civic responsibility, and
commitment to the community. Community service projects have included Habitat for Humanity, American Red Cross, Second Harvest Food Bank, the animal shelter, Relay for Life and many more.  Service opportunities are organized based on students’ interests and are available both on-campus and off-campus.
