Peach State's 20th Anniversary Season: June 4 - July 18 |

Georgia's official musical theatre is celebrating 20 years of professional performances with its 2010 season, which features White Christmas, Mulan and The Secret Garden.
Based on the popular 1954 movie musical starring Bing Crosby and Rosemary Clooney, White Christmas will open June 4. The honor and heroism of Disney's Mulan, which opens June 18, will captivate young and old. The Secret Garden, based on the beloved 1911 children's novel, opens June 25.
Season memberships and patronages are available for purchase until June 4. Individual tickets ($25 for adults/$20 for seniors and students) will go on sale Tuesday, May 18.

David Adams: New Bursar Returns Home
After graduating from VSU with a finance degree in 1979, David Adams spent 30 years in Georgia's banking industry -- analyzing commercial credits in Albany, consulting small businesses in Warner Robins, administering loans in Atlanta, and finally lending real estate mortgages in Valdosta -- where he and his wife, Peggy, met in the second grade.
The Vice President for Bank of America retired from banking in July 2009 to indulge in his hobbies of gardening and collecting antique bottles; but by the first of the new year, the 53-year-old began to miss aiding people with financial decisions and future plans. He joined his alma mater March 1 as university bursar, charged with overseeing financial holdings and student accounts.

The Student Action Council (SAC) continues to collect new and gently worn shoes for not-for-profit Soles4Souls to donate to people in devastated regions.
Established in the aftermath of the tsunami that hit Southeast Asia in 2004, Soles4Souls has distributed more than 7 million pairs of shoes free of charge to people, regardless of race, religion, class, or any other criteria, in more than 125 countries.
Drop off shoes in collection boxes located in the West Hall Rotunda and the Student Union. For more information, call Volunteer Services at 229-259-2514.
