Setting Preferences in the Voyager Cataloging Module

Set Preferences on the Options > Preferences menu when you first log onto Cataloging.

Setting the Bibliographic Import-Replace Profile ensures that you will be alerted if you save a duplicate record to the database.

Setting the Call Number Hierarchy enables you to "snarf" call numbers into your MFHDs.

Setting the Holdings/Item Default Location, Item Type and Temporary Type for the session will fill in those areas automatically as you create MFHDs and Item Records.

You can change your Preferences during the session if you switch to cataloging for a different location.
