Giving to the Library
Thank you for considering a gift to Odum Library. Donations help us maintain and enrich the quality of Library collections, services, and programs. No matter the amount, the Library welcomes your gift. Because Valdosta State University is a nonprofit organization, most gifts qualify for the charitable gift income tax deduction.
University Advancement promotes and coordinates charitable giving through the Valdosta State University Foundation, Inc.
Book Donations
Odum Library welcomes gifts that support the instructional and research programs of the University. The Library reserves the right to make a final decision whether to add a donated item or not. Please see our Gifts page for brief guidance on excluded items, and links to additional resources. The Library does not conduct appraisals.
Financial Donations
Most monetary donations are made in the form of cash or checks for immediate use. To give to the Library, one of the funds listed below should be designated. All monetary donations are processed through the VSU Foundation, Inc. and are tax-deductible to the extent provided by law.
Checks should be made payable to the VSU Foundation, Inc. and mailed to the Foundation at 1500 N. Patterson Street, Valdosta, GA 31698. Be sure to indicate which account you are giving to (see Library Funds, below).
You may also make these gifts online. To give to the Library, the Archives, or the MLIS program, use the drop down menu to select "Other." Enter one of the account numbers as listed below.
