Dr. Gary Futrell
Assistant Professor of Marketing
Gary Daniel Futrell studied fashion design at Middlesex University (London, England) before completing his undergraduate degree in fashion merchandising at Radford University (Radford, VA). He received his master’s degree in Global Marketing Management from Virginia Commonwealth University (Richmond, VA) in 2006. Prior to pursuing his PhD at Florida State University (Tallahassee, FL), Gary served over eight years as an officer in the U.S. Army and gained over 15 years experience in the services and retail industries. He last served as the vice president of marketing for one of the oldest continually operated construction and project management firms in the country.
His research interests focus on services marketing and consumer behavior; and his teaching interest include healthcare marketing, sales management, and principles of marketing.
