W. Kent Moore
Associate Dean
Dr. W. Kent Moore is Associate Dean of the Langdale College of Business. He received a B.S. from Southeast Missouri State College, an M.A. from the University of Missouri, and a Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin. He has been at Valdosta State University since 1979. His teaching areas are Statistics, Management Science, and Production Management. He has published one book (Fundamentals of the Time Value of Money) and 17 articles, and has numerous other publications and professional presentations in the areas of finance, ethics, management, accounting, and pedagogy. He was awarded membership in the honorary organizations Beta Gamma Sigma and Kappa Delta Pi.
Dr. Moore is married and has four grown children. He and his wife, Patsy, have traveled in 48 states, 25 European countries, Paraguay, Brazil, Zambia, South Africa and Israel. Besides travel, his other hobby is popular and religious music. He has coauthored a book about Elvis Presley, The Ultimate Elvis Quiz Book. He is an active member of First Baptist Church in Valdosta.
