Dr. Elvan Aktas
Associate Professor of Finance
Dr. Elvan Aktas, who joined the faculty of the Langdale College of Business Administration in fall 2007 as an assistant professor of finance, has a Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Florida (2004). Dr. Aktas worked for the Center for Real Estate Research during his graduate studies. Before joining VSU, Dr. Aktas worked for Florida Atlantic University’s College of Business as an assistant professor of finance. He has been tenured in 2010 and promoted to associate professor of finance in 2011. His research and teaching interests are investments, derivative securities, financial institutions and international finance.
