Dr. Candace Witherspoon
Assistant Professor of Accounting
Candace Witherspoon earned her BS and MS in accounting from Western Kentucky University and her PhD from the University of Kentucky. Dr. Witherspoon has taught several courses in accounting but her primary area of teaching is taxation. Before entering academia, she worked with the Tennessee Department of Treasury as an accountant and with Logan Aluminum, Inc. as a financial analyst. Her research interests include content analysis and tax client and preparer interactions.
