Creating the public_html directory
The VSU web server at http://ww.valdosta.edu/ is programmed to look for the directory "public_html" in your home directory whenever it is requested to serve your URL of the form http://www.valdosta.edu/~userid where "userid" is your VSU Email account userid login.
Any Secure FTP or FTP program should allow you to create directories. Should the public_html directory be missing, then create it. If you cannot contact Web Services.
