congratulations Jason Gaskins, VSU Employee of the semester - fall 2008
Jason Gaskins was named VSU Employee of the Semester for Fall, 2008. The award was presented at the monthly COSA meeting on January 13, 2009. Lisa Baldwin, Assistant Director of Information Technology for Enterprise Application Services nominated Jason. Here is a portion of what Lisa put in her nomination form:
Customer Service: Jason is always there for everyone. He goes beyond the usual for his work. He works behind the scenes for the Finance and Administration area. He is willing to go that extra mile to answer any questions that are asked of him, to support any software application that he is asked to support, and to write any application to help support the offices in Finance and Administration.
Problem Solving: Jason created the Strategic Planning Database to help support the President who was needing some way for departments to enter data to support initiatives.
Team Effort: Jason works with all to help push collaboration of systems. He tries to push cooperation among administrators in order to see projects to completion.
Innovative: VSU has directly benefitted from the work he has done by being able to have a Strategic Planning system that better maintains the budgets.
Why: Jason deserves the award because of his hard work, his willingness to do what is needed to be done, and his willingess to sacrifice his time outside work to see information to completion.
