william "bill" moore is named to the executive leadership institute
Bill Moore, Assistant Director of IT for Information Security was named to the Executive Leadership Institute (ELI).
Each USG institution nominated employees based on their experience, education and leadership potential. Bill, along with Dr. Green T. Waggener, were selected from VSU.
ELI is a 100-hour development program conducted by leading experts in leadership and designed to enhance their management skills to prepare them for advancement within the USG system.
Joe Newton, Director of Information Technology said Bill models integrity and accountability and he always considers the broader context of the higher education environment.
Bill employs systems thinking -- solving technical problems within the context of the academic environment -- and collaborates effectively with faculty, staff and students,” Joe said. “He demonstrates a student-centric attitude in his interactions with campus constituencies as well as a political awareness in approaching campus leaders and interacting within shared governance structures.”
The ELI program began on October 12, 2009 with a two-day session in Atlanta. Bill found the session both very interesting and enlightening.
