West Hall Fountain

Overview

Founded in 1906, Valdosta State University is a coeducational, regional University of the University System of Georgia. Valdosta State is fully accredited to award associate, bachelor’s and master’s degrees in many fields and a doctorate in the field of education. VSU offers over 90 degree programs of study and a curriculum that will prepare you for today’s constantly changing work environment. VSU specializes in meeting the needs of individual students. The student-to-faculty ratio is 21:1. VSU is small enough to provide the personal attention you expect in a selective private college yet big enough to odder the outstanding faculty, extensive academic programs, and social opportunities of a major university. Every course is taught by experienced professors with world class credentials. Professors welcome the opportunity to talk to you about career opportunities, give advice, engage you in research, or even help you find a tutor if you need assistance. VSU considers the diversity of its student among its greatest assets. Students from every county in Georgia, 47 states, and 68 countries attend VSU. Living in this global community will broaden your horizons and help you cope with people that have diverse backgrounds.
