Reade Hall
Active participants in the Honors College have the opportunity to live with other honors students in Reade Hall.
Newly renovated to its retro 1930s splendor, Reade has long been a favorite of VSU students for its intimate atmosphere and preeminently convenient location. Flanked by the beautiful pedestrian mall on one side and the Palms Quad on the other, Reade is central to all the happenings on main campus and less than a block from the classrooms and gathering places in the Honors House on Georgia Avenue. Reade Hall is a two-story co-ed residence hall with 88 residents, primarily freshmen, in a cozy, upscale atmosphere complete with hardwood floors and a communal fireplace. Fitted with the latest amenities, Reade offers phones, hard-wired and wireless hi-speed internet access, cable TV, on-site study rooms and in-house recreation areas. Reade also boasts a laundry facility on every floor and a sink in every room. Designed to be exclusive to honors students, Reade Hall offers a full schedule of social and cultural activities emphasizing a worldview for VSU's scholars.
In addition to the academic benefits of living on honors floors, students have the opportunity to participate in all of the other activities available to students living in the VSU residence halls, including intramural sports and social activities. The honors hall also holds special events for its residents.
