Our "foreign correspondent" Jake Newsome has been really busy this Thanksgiving cooking for all his new friends in Germany and introducing them to the unique American holiday of Thanksgiving. Jake and several of his American fellow students who are on a study abroad in the medieval city of Marburg, Germany cooked a real Thanksgiving feast (from scratch and / or with ingredients "imported" from the U.S!) for their friends from Germany, England, China, Taiwan, Cameroon, Gabon, Northern Ireland, and Poland and are enjoying a fairy-tale winter complete with snow and castles. Jake is sending his greetings and the beautiful pictures below. For those of you of the culinary persuasion, here is the menu they served:
