The 2008 Honors Recognition Ceremony took place on Wednesday April 16, 2008. From 7pm until about 8:30pm Honors students and professors were recognized for their outstanding achievements. Students who participated in the Georgia Collegiate Honors Council conference, this year’s Symposium for Undergraduate Research, the winners of the Hugh C. Bailey Family scholarship and the Bartram Award were honored. The students who have completed the requirements for the Honors Program as well as those who are graduating with Honors were recognized as well. The theater in the University Center, which is where the ceremony took place, was filled with students and professors, family members, and friends. Discussions of finding a bigger facility for next year’s ceremony are taking place! The Honors Program would like to thank all those who attended this festive occasion to celebrate the wonderful achievements of our outstanding students and faculty.
