Finding your IP Address and MAC Address
Mac Address: The Media Access Control (MAC) Address is a unique identity assigned to most devices with a network card. The MAC Address helps identify specific devices.
IP Address: The Internet Protocol (IP) Address is an identity number for computers on a network.

Windows XP
Click the start menu.
Then, click the Run... button.
Type cmd into the open blank.
Then, click the OK button.
Type ipconfig/all all press Enter.
Both your IP Address and MAC Address are listed in the window. The MAC Address is listed as Physical Address.

Windows Vista
Click the start menu.
Then, type cmd in the search.

Right-click the cmd icon.
Then, left-click the Run as administrator button.

Click the Continue button if User Account Control opens.

Type ipconfig/all all press Enter.
Both your IP Address and MAC Address are listed in the window. The MAC Address is listed as Physical Address.

Mac OS X
Click the Apple Menu.
Then, click the System Preferences... link.

Click the Network button.

Your IP Address will be displayed under the status.

Then, to find your MAC Address, click the Advanced... button.

Your MAC Address will be displayed beside AirPort ID:.

Congratulations! You have successfully found your IP and MAC address.
