Enabling or Disabling the Windows Firewall in Windows 7

Step 1

Click on the Start button.

Click the Windows button

Step 2

Then, click Control Panel.

Then click control panel

Step 3

Click System and Security.

Click System and Security

Step 4

Click Windows Firewall..

Click Windows Firewall

Step 5

Click Turn Windows Firewall on or off.

Click Turn Windows Firewall on or off.

Step 6

Click the radio button in front of either On (recommended) or Off (not recommended) to enable or disable the firewall. Then, click the OK button.

Select whether you want to turn the firewalls on or off. Then click OK
