Enabling or Disabling the Windows Firewall

Step 1

Click on the Start button. Then, click Control Panel.

From the Control Panel, double-click Windows Firewall. If you do not see Windows Firewall, click the Classic View link in the left window.

Click the Change Settings button.

Click the radio button in front of either On (recommended) or Off (not recommended) to enable or disable the firewall. Then, click the OK button.
