Disabling the Autoplay Feature in Windows 7
Step 1Click on the Start button.
Step 2Then, click inside the Search bar. ![]() Step 3Type gpedit.msc, then click the program gpedit..
Step 4Now, double-click Administrative Templates.
Step 5Next click All Settings.
Step 6Click Setting to reorder the items, making them easier to navigate.
Step 7Now, scroll down until you reach Turn off Autoplay, and then double-click it.
Step 8In order to disable Autoplay, click the Enabled radio button, you may then choose if you want to disable it for all drives, or just specific ones.
