VMWare Fusion Guides for VSU Office Computers
VMWare Fusion is a virtual machine application that allows you to run Windows XP on a Mac computer. This is particularly useful for software or Valdosta State University services that are only compatible with Windows, such as Peoplesoft training or Blazeview.

The benefits of VMWare Fusion include:
- On a Mac computer, you can access software and VSU services that are only available for Windows.
- You can run both MacOS and Windows on the same computer (see the screenshot shown above) without having to restart the computer to switch between the two.
- You can use snapshots to restore Windows in the case of a technical issue.
VMWare Fusion is available through Information Technology for installation on Mac computers located in VSU offices and owned by the university. To request installtion, please complete our general technical support form, specifying that you need VMWare installed.
If, alternatively, you are interested in purchasing a copy of VMWare Fusion for your home computer, please contact the VSU Tech Shop for availability and pricing.
