Installing the Messenger Client
Note: Before proceeding with these steps, please download the Windows Live Messenger Client. We have steps available for downloading it here.
Double-click the installation file you have downloaded.
If a security warning window pops-up, click Run.
Make sure the Check box next to Messenger is checked.
Then, click the Install button.
A window will pop-up asking if you would like to use any Microsoft services as default. To prevent any changes to your computer, uncheck each box.
Then, click the Continue button.
Windows Live Messenger will be available in your Windows Live folder from All Programs in the Start Menu.
