First Time Login
This guide is designed to walk you through the three steps required to log into Windows Live and access your e-mail for the first time:
You can obtain your username by visiting the guide for Finding Your Windows Live Username.
Setting up a security question is the most important aspect of preparing to use your account, as this will be your only method to reset your password during the hours that the Helpdesk is closed. Once we have guided you through activating your account and setting up your password, you can visit our guide on Setting Up A Security Question.
Go to the Windows Live E-mail Login Page.
Enter your full VSU e-mail address in the Windows Live ID field.
Then, enter your e-mail password in the password field.
Finally, click the Sign in button.
Choose your preferred language from the Language drop-down menu.
Then, select the appropriate time zone from the Time zone drop-down.
Finally, click the OK button.
Congratulations! You have successfully activated your account.
Then, highlight your name and click the Account link.
Click the Change link next to the Question field.
Enter your e-mail password in the Password field.
Then, select a question of your choice from the list of available security questions in the Question field.
Afterwards, type in the answer to the question in the Secret answer field.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Make sure you choose a secret answer that no one else will know. Otherwise, you put your account at risk of unauthorized access.
