Controlling Spam and Junk Mail Filtering

Step 1:

You must be successfully launched Office Outlook Web Access to complete these steps. If you have not already done so, please follow the steps in our Launching Office Outlook Web Access guide.

Step 2:

Right-click on one of your e-mails.

Then, pan your mouse over the Junk E-mail entry that appears.

Step 3:

Left-click the appropriate setting:

  • Add Sender to Blocked Senders List
This setting will stop you from receiving any future e-mails from this e-mail address.
  • Add Sender to Safe Senders List
This setting will ensure that future e-mails from this e-mail address do not get sent to your Junk Mail folder.
  • Add Sender's Domain to Safe Senders List
This setting will ensure that future e-mails from this domain do not get sent to your Junk Mail folder.
For example, if you use this setting on janbrady@valdosta.edu, it will prevent any mail from any address ending in @valdosta.edu from being sent to your Junk Mail folder.
