Setting up Windows Live on Outlook 2007
Step 1:Please ensure that Microsoft Outlook 2007 is closed prior to proceeding with these steps.
Step 2:Click the Start button on the bottom left corner of your desktop. Then, click Control Panel.
Step 3:Double-click the Mail icon. Note: If you are in Category View, click the User Accounts icon. Then click on the Mail icon.
Step 4:Click the E-mail Accounts... button.
Step 5:If you had a prior VSU e-mail account set up, please proceed with these steps. Otherwise, please skip to step 7. In the center of the window, you may see a number of e-mail accounts listed. Click on the name of each of the e-mail accounts. Then, click the Remove button. Repeat this step until all old VSU e-mail accounts are removed. Note: This will sever the link between Outlook and your old e-mail account. This will not delete any of your prior e-mails.
Step 6:When you are prompted to confirm the removal, click the Yes button. Note: This will sever the link between Outlook and your old e-mail account. This will not delete any of your prior e-mails.
Step 7:Click the New... button.
Step 8:Complete the fields on the Auto Account Setup page:
Then, click the Next > button. Note: If the Password field and Retype Password are not visible, clear the E-mail Address field, and it will appear.
Step 9:If you receive a security prompt, mark the check box in front of Don't ask me about this web site again. Then, click the Allow button.
Step 10:In the prompt that appears, enter your full Windows Live e-mail address in the User name field. Then, click the OK button.
Step 11:Click the Finish button.
Step 12:Click the OK button.
Step 13:Click the Close button.
Step 14:Launch Microsoft Outlook.
Step 15:In the prompt that appears, enter your full Windows Live e-mail address in the User name field. Then, click the OK button.
Step 16:If you had a prior VSU e-mail account set up, please proceed with these steps. Otherwise, skip to step 16. In your Favorite Folders, right click on each entry that ends in the words in Personal Folders. Then, left-click the Remove from Favorite Folders in the pop-up menu that appears. Repeat this step for each folder that appears in this manner.
Congratulations! You have successfully setup your VSU e-mail account in Microsoft Outlook.
