Filtering Messages from a Specific Address

Step 1:

Make sure you have completed the steps from our guide for Filtering Mail before proceeding.

Step 2:

Click Move messages from someone to a folder.

Step 3:

Click the people or distribution lists link in the left window.

Click the People or Distribution Lists

 

Step 4:

In the From -> field at the body, type the address of the person(s) you would like to filter messages from. Then, click the OK button.

Enter the address and click OK

 

Step 5:

Click the specified link in the left window.

Step 6:

Click the name of the folder that you would like the e-mails to be filtered to. Then, click the OK button.

Choose the Folder and click OK

 

Step 7:

In the Name: field, enter a title for the filter. Then, click the Save button.

Name the Filter and click Save

Congratulations! You have successfully set up a filter for mail from a specific address.
