Adding an Alternate Email for Password Recovery

Step 1:

You must be successfully logged into Windows Live to complete these steps. If you have not already done so, please follow the steps in our Launching Windows Live guide.

Then, click the Options link on the top-right corner.

Click options

Step 2:

Click the Change your password button.

Click change your password

Step 3:

To the right of the Email field under the Password reset information section, click the Add link.

Click add

Step 4:

Enter an alternate e-mail address in both the Email address and Retype email address fields.

Finally, click the Add button.

Enter in the email address you wish to add. then click add

Congratulations! You have successfully added an alternate e-mail address. If you forget your VSU email account password, you can have a new password generated and sent to your alternate e-mail address. Please note that our work request system can only accept emails sent from a VSU email address.
