Installing System Updates
When system updates are available for your computer, you should see an icon that resembles a paper box with a green arrow. Double-click this icon.
You should see a prompt notifying you that Valdosta State University is protecting your computer.
NOTE: If you see a different prompt, DO NOT PROCEED, as this could be a hoax. Instead, please contact the Helpdesk immediately at 229-245-4357 or send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you do see this prompt, make sure the radio button in front of Express (Recommended) is marked.
Then, click the Install button.
You should see a notification balloon showing that software updates are being installed on your computer.
Please be patient, as this process may take several minutes.
After the installation process is complete, if the computer requires a restart, the arrow over the paper box icon will turn red. At this point, please restart your computer.
