The proceeds from this gala will go to the Valdosta State University Foundation, Inc. Founded in 1963, the Foundation supports Valdosta State University by attracting and involving leaders from among the University’s alumni and friends to support and enhance the mission of VSU. The Foundation’s primary efforts are directed toward attracting, receiving, investing, managing, and expending gifts for the academic, artistic, athletic, teaching, research and public service programs of the University.
Funds given through the Foundation support:
Scholarships for students in all areas of study
Research projects of faculty and studentsEndowed faculty positions and lecture programs to attract distinguished teachers to VSU
Each academic, artistic, and athletic department with discretionary funds to use in areas of greatest need
Endowments for arts programs and named colleges
Student travel to present their projects in regional and national competitions
And many other needs not covered by other funding which enhance the excellent opportunities VSU offers to its students.
