In 2009 the European Council established the Charles Crouch Award to be awarded to one student each summer that demonstrated the values Dr. Crouch (Charlie) held dear about study abroad. The winner is to be selected from a pool of students who are nominated by the faculty members on that summer's program.
The 2012 Crouch Award went to
Columbus State Univeristy
for ability to function effectively in our interconnected world community,
demonstration of international and cross-cultural knowledge, cultural
sensitivity, as well as adaptability and flexibility during time spent on the
University System of Georgia European Council summer study
abroad program to Madrid in 2012.
