Author Allison Joseph
Born in London, England, raised in Toronto, Canada, and the Bronx, NY, Allison Joseph currently lives in Carbondale, Illinois, where she directs the MFA Program in Creative Writing at Southern Illinois University. She serves as poetry editor of Crab Orchard Review and director of the Young Writers Workshop, an annual summer conference and residential creative writing workshop for high school writers. She holds the Judge Williams Holmes Cook Endowed Professorship. As Director of the SIUC MFA Program in Creative Writing, Professor Joseph maintains a blog about the graduate creative writing program. Her visit at Valdosta State University, sponsored by the English Dept, will begin Wednesday, February 23, 2011.
