Present: Bill Bennett, Joan Brooks, Holly Decker, Sandra Denson, = Wanda=20 DeWeese, Bill Filtz, Blake Griffin, Joe Hickey, Mary Jane Keene, Tommy = Moore,=20 Pat Rozier, Beverly Sharpe, Paul Worth, Jim Yates, Tim Yorkey=20

  1. The meeting was called to order at 8:25 AM in the President's = Dining Room,=20 Palms Dining Center=20
  2. Minutes of the August 13, 1996 meeting were approved. The Salaries = Study=20 Committee amended last month's minutes and reported that they had made = progress on the report.=20
  3. Treasurer's Report - By Bill Bennett

$30.00 was spent on printing and copying. This leaves us with a = balance of=20 $2470.00=20

    3. Welfare - Beverly Sharpe reported all the football tickets were=20 distributed to the 7 COSA members to sell for the North Alabama = Football=20 Game on 10/5/96.=20
    4. Bylaws - Blake Griffin read over and open the floor for = discussion on=20 the Bylaws=20
    5. Staff Development - No Report=20
    6. Employee Recognition - No Report=20
    7. Salaries Study - Tim Yorkey reported that in two weeks the = committee=20 should have a draft ready to show a (range of pay) salaries = comparison=20

    1. Football Tickets - The COSA members are selling the tickets.=20
    2. COSA Service Recognition Certificate - Holly Decker passed = around 2=20 types of certificates. We voted to use the Parchment paper for the=20 certificates. We asked her to redesign the VSU letters. The = committee will=20 work on who will get a certificate.
  3. New Business=20
    1. Bylaws amendments - We will hold until the next meeting. At that = time we=20 will vote on the changes to the Bylaws.=20
    2. University System COSA Meeting - The next meeting will be held = on=20 October 25, 1996 at Gainesville College. Four of COSA members will = be=20 representing VSU: Beverly Sharpe, Holly Decker, Blake Griffin, and = Sandra=20 Griffin.
