- Chair, Sue Teel, called the meeting to order at 8:25 AM in the =
President's=20
Dining Room, Palms Dining Center.=20
- Minutes of the February meeting were approved.=20
- Treasurer's Report - Bill Bennett reported that $2269.36 was the =
balance=20
as of February 29, 1996.=20
- Dr. Bailey presented the Employee of the Quarter award to Vanessa=20
Brunston. Twelve other nominees were acknowledged which constitutes =
the=20
largest list of nominations for the award. The other nominees were; =
Pat Jeter,=20
Ellen Weeks, Johnny Watson, Mickey Woods, Gayle Brooks, Carolyn Shaw, =
Ellen=20
Roy, Lisa Long, Teresa Morton, Catherine Riggle, Debra Holley, and =
Barbara=20

Dr. Bailey took several minutes to keep the council informed about=20
legislation concerning the University System. He took questions =
concerning=20
parking, parking decks, and the new science building.=20

- Parking Appeals - Meeting set for 3/12/96 at 3:00 PM=20
- Employee Recognition - No Report=20

- Staff Development - A survey will be in the TrailBlazer PS=20
- Salaries Study - Will meet with personnel to get current =
salaries and=20
pay grades
- Report from the Chair=20
The registration day previously set for January 4, 1997 was moved =
to=20
January 5, 1997 to allow staff to be paid for overtime.=20
The Chair of COSA will be on the ADR committee.=20
- Old Business=20
The Sexual Harassment Policy was discussed. The Policy Committee =
will meet=20
to make suggestions for changes.=20
The amendment to section IV A of the by-laws concerning missed =
meetings and=20
membership was presented. It was read and approved. A final vote will =
occur at=20
the April Meeting.=20
- New Business=20
The position vacated by Chip Moore will remain unfilled until the =
next=20
election. This was the final term for the position and it seemed =
inappropriate=20
to appoint a person when the election results will be within two =
months.=20
