The Council on Staff Affairs met in Pound Hall, Room #106, Tuesday, = July 6,=20 1993.=20

Present: Norma Barr, Vanessa Brunston, Bill England, Juanita = Faircloth, Inman=20 Grimsley, Carl James, Mike Jones, Bob Krawcyzk, Russ Mast, John Miller, = Donna=20 Nolan, and Karrie Yeatman.=20

AGENDA=20

  1. President Russ Mast called the meeting to order at 2:30 p.m.=20

  2. Minutes of the May 3, 1993 meeting were approved as distributed.=20

  3. Committee Reports were:=20

    a) Executive Committee - President Russ Mast recognized members = who have=20 served their term on COSA with a plaque and thanks for their time = and=20 service. (Norma Barr, Angel Diaz, Allie Thomas, & H. Watson).=20

    b) Communications Committee - None=20

    c) Welfare Committee - None=20

    d) Policy Committee - Karrie Yeatman reported that she sent a = memo to=20 Russ regarding the current policy on flexible working hours. =

  4. Old Business:=20

    The Faculty Senate bill concerning the Equal Opportunity Employment = statement was rescinded.=20

  5. New Business:=20

    (a) Inman Grimsley reported that Salary Adjustments were by a=20 significant pay plan, they exceeded the 2% expected amount (this was = approved by the President) and everyone please remember this was a = very=20 restricted year as noted in earlier memos.=20

    (b) COSA elections were as follows:
    President - Donna = Nolan
    Vice=20 President - Karrie Yeatman
    Treasurer - Ann Holland
    Secretary - = Juanita=20 Faircloth

    Committee Chairs:
    Communications - co-chair Vanessa = Brunston/Bob=20 Krawcyzk
    Welfare - Bill England
