VSU Camp Discovery heading
Your kids will have fun while learning in our week-long summer day camps! Camp Discovery provides opportunities for Valdosta-area kids to make friends, expand their horizons, and achieve personal growth through age-appropriate activities. All camps are designed to be fun for participants, as well as to improve academic, artistic, and/or physical skills.

Camps will be available from May 27 - July 26, 2013, for children 5 and up. Most camps are held Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to noon. Some afternoon camps will be available. Camp fees start at $80 and vary based on the cost of the activities. Check back in April for camp descriptions.

Some of the more popular camps will be back including LEGOs, horsemanship, tennis, and painting. We've got a variety of new camps to choose from too.

If your kids need a cool place to hang out in the afternoons, the Rec Room is for you! Participants will enjoy a wide range of facilitated activities and learning experiences. Activities will include games (indoor and outdoor), reading, arts and crafts, special guests (musicians, artists, pets, etc) and more! In addition to group activities, there will be individual activities for those who are inspired to work alone. The Rec Room is held from 1 - 4 PM each day (except for the week of May 28 - 31 when it will run from 9 am - 4 pm with supervised extented day until 5:30 pm at no extra charge - see below for more information.) The fee for this camp is $60 per week (no discounts).

A supervised lunch area will be available for those attending a camp in the morning and the Rec Room or another camp in the afternoon. Campers must bring a sack lunch. Lunches can be refrigerated, but not heated.

New - Extended Day Pickup!

Need to pick up your child later than 4 PM? No problem! Your child will be supervised from 4 - 5:30 pm by qualified staff for a weekly charge of $25. Participants will watch movies, read, play games, and create art projects.

Early bird, sibling, and VSU discounts do not apply to Rec Room or extended day. We must have a minimum of 5 students to run the Rec Room each week, and 3 students to run extended day.
