Advancement in the Arts for VSU

The College of the Arts Outreach was established in 1987. Its mission is to serve the forty-eight Georgia counties in the service region of Valdosta State University. College of the Arts Outreach helps to market and fund both the Valdosta Symphony Orchestra and the Peach State Summer Theatre.

To assist in these programs, College of the Arts Outreach coordinates several boards. Membership in all of these boards is open to anyone interested in working to further their goals. The Valdosta Symphony board and guild require substantial financial commitment from their members. Every other year the members of all the College of the Arts Outreach boards and members of the College of the Arts faculty gather for a dinner at the Valdosta Country Club to honor an outstanding volunteer or group of one of the boards.
