Elections for President were held at the end of this semester at our last meeting. Congratulations Courtney Arnold on becoming the new President for the Spring 2009 semester. Incumbent officers include Jasmine Peterson, Lovie Mansfield, and Jessica Tucker. Please remember your positions if you have chosen to be on either the food, event, tutoring, or display committees. -December 3, 2008
The Water For Life event was a success with a net gain of more than 1700 dollars going towards efforts to provide clean water and hygiene education to poor developing countries. -November 22, 2008
Members of SAACS visited the Farley Nuclear Power Plant in Dothan, Alabama where members learned about fuel cells and the mechanism that is utilized to produce energy in a PWP (pressurized water reactor). -October 21, 2008
