Science, technology, Engineering and Mathematics initiative (STEM)

The VSU College of Arts and Sciences’ STEM Initiative is a cohesive program targeted at enhancing the STEM curriculum efficacy of instruction and student experience, increasing student success in core STEM courses, recruiting and retaining majors in STEM areas and preparing them for careers in STEM fields, such as teaching, research and industry.

Summer 2013

  • June 3 - 7, 2013, Camp Invention!
    The title of this years program is "Geo-Quest" and is new to the VSU campus. Camp Invention is a one-week day camp for grades 1 - 6. The program focuses on science, but blends in math, history and the arts for an integrated curriculum in a fun-filled, activity-driven environment.

  • June 10 - 14, 2013, Forensic Science Camp for High School Students
    A week-long camp for rising high school Sophmores, Juniors and Seniors who are interested in forensic sciences.
