Applied Research Seed Grant (arsg)
Grants of up to $1,000 are awarded to assist faculty in exploration of applied research opportunities. Grant applications of less than $1,000 are encouraged. Projects involving more than one faculty are capped at $1,500.

Applications must in the Center for Applied Research Office by the close of business on Friday, September 10, 2010.
Goals of the Program
To enable faculty to investigate and initiate applied research projects with the ultimate goal of generating sponsored research within the College.
Scope of Possible Activities
Funding is available for materials acquisition, publication of materials and other activities that are intended to generate sponsored research activities within the college.
Limitations on Proposals
Projects will not be funded for more than one year. Proposals should not be duplicates of proposals submitted to the Faculty Research Grants committee. Proposals cannot be used as matching funds to reduce external contract fees. Projects should not be used to fund undergraduate or graduate student research projects unless the project PI has substantial research engagement or direction. Publication costs associated with completed or on-going research projects are not funded, unless these specifically address the goal of generating new sponsored research.
