Summer Institute
The centerpiece of the BWP --and all NWP sites-- is an invitational summer institute in which teachers are brought together for an intensive, four-week seminar designed to enhance writing education by:
- Providing a setting for teachers to share their most successful writing practices,
- helping institute participants broaden their teaching philosophies through an examination of writing theory and research,
- allowing participants to commit themselves intensely and
reflectively to the process of writing by writing themselves and by
reviewing each other's written pieces.

Summer Institute: June 3-June 21, 2013 (M_F) 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m
Admission to the institute is invitational. Nominees submit an application and finalists are selected through personal interviews.
